Despite the name, it’s not a Salvia. 

This unusual perennial offers large tropical foliage, square stems and lightly fragrant blue to purple orchid-like flowers, which are produced throughout the warmer months of the year.

The plant enjoys a full sun to part shade position and prefers moist, free draining soil. 

It’ll grow around 2.5m high by 1.5m wide.

A stunning addition to the garden.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).
