Native Violet 1.1L coir pot

Viola hederacea. 

This lovely Australian ground cover is easy to grow and offers so much. It’s a dense ground cover, growing about 15cm high by 90cm wide. 

It can be used as a lawn substitute in areas where there is light foot traffic and it is ideal for suppressing weeds. 

The flowers are edible, white in colour with mauve centres. 

This hardy perennial enjoys a full sun to part shade position and prefers moist soil.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within about two months in healthy, watered soil.
