Rudbeckia – 1.1lt coir pot

Rudbeckia hirta.

Native to the eastern USA, this lovely perennial offers bright yellow flowers throughout summer.

The plant enjoys a full sun position in free draining soil and should grow around 70cm high by 40cm wide.

You can plant the coir pot directly into the ground, which will eliminate root disturbance and help keep your plant happy. The roots will make their way through the pot and into the soil. The pot itself will decompose within two months. Alternatively, you can use it as a decorative pot plant as the coir pot will last between 12-18 months (then you can plant it in the ground).
