The Forest Redtail Black Cockatoo Pin

The Redtail Black Cockatoo lives in the globally recognised biodiverse hotspot that is Western Australia’s south-west. One of only 36 such biodiverse regions on the planet.

Their iconic red tail feathers are the inspiration for many artworks and simply captivate people with their unique displays. Redtails play a vital role in the ecosystem as mother natures planters, propagators and pollinators. Their call resembles their Noongar name, ‘karak.’

We are so grateful for your support in helping Carnaby’s! Dean from Carnaby’s Crusaders works tirelessly to protect these precious birds. Every pin sale contributes to this wonderful charity. Thank you for making a difference!

Carnaby’s Crusaders LTD

Carnaby’s Crusaders LTD is a Registered Not For Profit Charity. They are an enterprise dedicated to supporting the recovery, breeding and preservation of habitat that supports Western Australia’s native Black Cockatoo species. Their goal is to ensure the survival and promote awareness around the required preservation of natural habitat in order to support our Native Black Cockatoo’s.

While they can boost numbers by providing Artificial Breeding Tubes on suitable sites, this is not a long-term solution to the viability of the species if we do not preserve and provide more natural feeding & breeding habitat for them.
