This information session aims to inform residents about the objectives of the the ReLeaf Melville tree planting programs – The Tree Succession Program and the Tree Expansion Program.

The Succession program aims to plan for the replacement of trees that have been identified as going into decline. The Expansion program aims to plant trees in vacant verges and other public land to increase our overall canopy coverage.

We are increasing tree planting on public land to help build climate change resilience within our community. Increasing trees on verges and public spaces is the most viable known way that we can reduce urban heating now and into the future.

Please note that all attendees are required to follow State Government directions and will be required to show proof of vaccination to attend events at Leisurefit Melville.
